Fees & Payments

If you are planning to use your insurance, you will want to check with your plan administrator for details on your behavioral health benefits, including out-of network benefits, and any pre-certification requirements. Although we will work with you to confirm your benefits, we cannot guarantee reimbursement by your insurance company. Clients should be aware when using insurance that we are required to provide a diagnosis which becomes a part of your health care record. We are not currently accepting secondary insurance for payment.

If you wish to check your own coverage, you can contact your insurance company.
Helpful questions to ask include:

Do I have mental health coverage?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
What percentage of the fee does my insurance cover, or
What is my copay?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions that I may have in a year?
Do I need preauthorization from my physician or insurance company?

Services are available on a contractual fee basis. Firefly will submit claims electronically for services. Clients are responsible for copay or coinsurance payment for each visit, subject to meeting any applicable deductibles and other conditions set by the plans. Copay insurance fees or Coinsurance is due at the time of session. We are not currently accepting secondary insurance payments.

Our care coordination staff is supportive and available to answer questions related to care, coverage and what you can expect during your treatment process. 

For many other insurers, Firefly is considered an out-of-network provider. Your insurance plan may reimburse you a portion of the fee. Your insurance company will be billed electronically for claim submission. When we are out-of-network, we ask that you pay for your portion of the session at the time of our appointment.

Regardless of insurance plans and benefits, clients are fully responsible for the payment of fees.

Cash and all major credit cards are accepted by Firefly. Credit card payments are processed through our electronic health record technology.

Flex Plan or Medical Savings Plan: Many employers have a medical savings plan. Depending on how much you contribute to your plan, your psychotherapy out-of-pocket expenses could be covered by this plan.
